Abstract
We propose and experimentally demonstrate a simple clock recovery scheme using a beat process between two extracted spectral lines for optical clock recovery of 40 Gb/s NRZ data. With FBG filters and a VOA, the proposed scheme can equalize the amplitude in two extracted spectral lines within an adjustment range of the VOA. Through this scheme, we achieved an enhanced CNR of more than 15 dB.
