Abstract
In this letter, we propose a distributed resource allocation scheme to improve performance of relay-based cellular networks. In the proposed scheme, eNB allocates resources to user equipments (UEs) by considering differences in UEs' channel status between relay and access zones, and to relay nodes (RNs) by considering both channel and buffer status of the RNs. Simulations show the proposed scheme outperforms existing schemes in terms of user throughput and fairness. © 2006 IEEE.
