Abstract
In conventional MIMO detectors for spatial multiplexing, the number of receiver antennas should be at least the number of the transmitter antennas and they exhibit severe performance degradation in the spatially correlated environments. In this paper, to overcome these problems, we propose multiple scrambling codes aided spatial multiplexing for the MIMO DS/CDMA systems in frequency-selective channels. The proposed receivers have low-complexity and outperform the V-BLAST detector in both spatially uncorrelated and correlated environments.
