- Abstract
- In this paper, APICS (Automatic Postal Information Capture System) is presented to recognize the postal information of a registered mail. It helps to show an improved reception process which leads faster and more accurate work with an OCR technology. It also reduces the workload of a receptionist and waiting time for a customer at the line that would improve a service quality. Especially, it is expected to be useful for multi-registered mail by removing repeated sender’s information typing process. The result shows a successful recognition of most in print style characters.
