Abstract
A narrow-band preamplifier for fiber-optic millimeter-wave wireless system is presented based on a fully stabilized pseudomorphic high electron mobility transistor (PHEMT) 0.12 μm technology. The preamplifiers are designed with shunt feedback and T-section matching networks. These matching networks are realized narrow-band filtering function. A single 4×1.5 mm2 chip, with four amplifying stages, shows transimpedance gain of 53 dB廓 with 1dB廓 ripple around the center frequency. © 2005 IEEE.
