- Abstract
- This paper proposes a Digital Storage Media Command and Control (DSM-CC) carousel caching and management architecture that can support priority-based scheduling of monitoring threads and the caching mechanism of carousel objects for a quick launch and download of Xlet. This proposed architecture is able to accommodate the data broadcasting middleware that uses DSM-CC object carousel mechanisms, such as Advanced Common Application Platform (ACAP), Open Cable Application Platform (OCAP), and Multimedia Home Platform (MHP). ©2006 IEEE.
