- This paper presents a new location based service (LBS) that can be provided in digital multimedia broadcasting (DMB) transmission system economically and effectively. We propose a point of interest (POI) protocol compatible to transport protocol experts group (TPEG) and introduce the POI data server and the verification platform implemented by using the proposed protocol. As a filed result, the stability and effectiveness of proposed protocol is verified. © 2006 IEEE.
