Abstract
A single chip low noise amplifier and a novel down conversion mixer for ultra-wideband system are proposed in this paper. The LNA and mixer were separately fabricated in order to evaluate the single chip performances. Separately fabricated LNA shows a small signal gain of 12~10 dB and a noise figure of 4.2~4.8 dB in 3~7 GHz range, and mixer shows a conversion gain of 3~6.5 dB and an input P1dB of -10 dBm, in 3~7 GHz range. Single chip RFIC shows an overall conversion gain of 13.5~17 dB and P1dB of -17 dBm.
