- ITU-T는 전달망의 전통적인 연결관리의 대안으로 전송과 교환을 결합하는 ASTN/ASON(Automatic Switched Transport Network/Automatically Switched Optical Network)을 표준화하고 있다. IETF 역시 계층 1의 네트워크 자원을 동적으로 제어하기 위한 GMPLS 기술을 표준화하고 있다. 본 고에서는 ASON이라는 공통 분모를 가지고 ITU-T 및 IETF에서 진행하고 있는 표준화 동향을 살펴본다.
