Abstract
In this paper, we propose a multicarrier CDMA approach for forward link PDCH (Forward Packet Data Channel) of cdma2000 1x EV-DV which inherits the same architecture and bandwidth. The system utilizes the bandwidth efficient iterative technique [11] to recover cyclicity of OFDM symbol, and hence it has no cyclic prefix in frame structure for backward compatibility to the existing 1x EV-DV system. We report that the link-level performance of our system is significantly better than previous equalizer-based systems [4]-[5] in frequency selective fading channels. © 2006 IEEE.
