Abstract
In this study, we present a method for developing Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) components for Ubiquitous Robot Companion (URC) Intelligent Service Robots, which exploit strong Information Technology (IT) infrastructure such as high-speed internet. For this purpose, HRI components used in this study consist of sound localization, caller identification, human following of specific person, and Korean-based spontaneous speech recognition. Finally, we describe the concept of URC intelligent service robots and each HRI components and then demonstrate the performance through scenario obtained from video.
