Abstract
A new digital video watermarking scheme based on error correcting code has been proposed and implemented. The proposed watermarking scheme embeds a watermark into the quantized DCT coefficient of I-frames in MPEG2 [1] video. This scheme maximizes the watermark payload while minimizing the perceptual degradation of video quality caused by the embedded watermark by means of an appropriate choice of the position for watermark embedding. In this paper, error correcting codes are employed to improve the video watermark robustness. Different error correcting codes were implemented and compared. We found that BCH(31,8) achieved the highest error correcting capability under different noises conditions.
