- Abstract
- Recently DVB-S2 draft has been accepted by ETSI, which makes possible to send the signal with adaptive coding and modulation scheme. Moreover, the Backward-Compatible (BC) mode supports both DVB-S and DVB-S2 standards through hierarchical modulation. However, since both data streams are combined together in the signal level, signal demapping would be one of the important parts of the demodulation module. For this purpose, some algorithms have been suggested, but most of them are very complicated process. On this paper, an effective soft-decision method for DVB-S2 BC mode signal is presented.
