Abstract
This paper describes the design and realization of a Ka-band triple-bandpass waveguide filter with dual-mode resonators. This filter adopts dual-mode technique for mass and volume saving and the in-line configuration for easy fabrication and tuning. An appropriate equivalent circuit model for in-line structure is used to design and tune the filter. For validation of the proposed design results, an 8-pole dual-mode triple-passband filter for Ka band satellite applications is realized. Very good agreement between the measured and computed responses is obtained.
