Abstract
SONET / SDH (Synchronous Optical Network / Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) systems must have a recovery scheme. In this paper, we propose a model of multi-layer restoration using LCAS (Link Capacity Adjustment Scheme). Proposed model has a LCAS selection function between a pre-planned path restoration and a dynamic path restoration. Proposed model is able to implement reducing data loss and a blocking probability for damaged paths using LCAS function.
