Abstract
In this paper, we propose a service analysis framework for eliciting key service functionalities and core technologies when various future mobile service scenarios are given. The proposed analysis framework, called scenario based service analysis process (2SAP), consists of 4 sequential analysis steps, a scenario transformation, a scenario decomposition, an analysis of functions for each situation, and an elicitation of service functionalities. We then propose business model creation methodology consisting of four consecutive development processes, service elicitation, elicitation of participants, roles of participants and value distribution using analysis results of 2SAP approach. Finally, we propose three types of next generation mobile business models, direct management model, platform rental model, and brokerage model, based on roles and activities of participants. © 2006 IEEE.
