Abstract
Most of animations pursuit the effect of 2D cell animation, although they are produced using 3D technology. The character in animation has the cartoon-like appearance by cartoon rendering but remains to move realistically. We suggest a method that the 3D character moves in cartoon style for animation and game. To maximize the 2D cell animation effect, we integrate the cartoon style motion and the mesh deformation.
