- Abstract
- Technology evolutions such as Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) and Internet of Things (IoT) make it possible to create new manufacturing paradigm -SmartFactoty and Cyber-Physical Production Systems (CPPS) as core production system of SmartFactory. We designed the integration middleware framework for CPPS, which can easily integrate the real world of manufacturing devices and the cyber world of information and control systems based on software. In this paper, we present the CPPS middleware gateway which provides the interface between the industrial communication protocol of real world and the middleware framework as entrance point to the cyber world. Gateway analyzes the industrial communication protocol and converts into the data topic which is exchanged in the middleware framework using the data model and the control service map.
