초록
A novel method for simple and multi-functional all-optical logic gate using the absorption modulation of injection-locked FP-LD is proposed and experimentally demonstrated for 'OR/NOR' and 'AND/NAND' logic functions at 1 Gbit/s. The proposed logic gate is advantageous in that it uses low-cost commercialized FP-LD and can give logically either normal or inverted output by simply tuning the wavelength of the probe beam. © 2006 IEEE.
