Abstract
It has been estimated that 'RFID' technology would be playing an important role in the incoming ubiquitous environment. For this reason, many studies on 'RFID' have been conducted and its application has been on the increase in various fields such as finance, medicine, transportation and culture as well as in logistics distribution. However, since the communication between the tags and readers based on the RFID system is wireless communication using the radio frequency, the tag information can easily leak. Such leaked information may be used by attackers as their basic information, and this leads to invasion of privacy, which makes users avoid using the RFID. One of the solutions concerning privacy is to utilize the RFID authentication technology so that only appropriate objects (e.g., tags, readers, databases) can access to the information, while improper objects' access is not permitted.
