Abstract
We propose a novel active-matrix cathode to improve uniformity of field emission display. The pixel consisted of a single address and multiple driver thin-film transistors (TFTs) with carbon nanotube (CNT) field emitters. The cascade-connected address and driver TFTs exhibited high performances with a very low source-drain leakage current. A very good inter-and intra-pixel uniformity was obtained from the newly developed cathode of amorphous silicon TFTs and CNT emitters.
