Abstract
This paper proposes a QIM watermarkin -g scheme for a digital image with two adaptive quantization step-sizes. After calculating an edge map of the image, in a flat region a small step-size is applied and in an edge region a large step-size is used. The threshold between flat and edge is decided empirically and watermark blocks are embedded repeatedly into the image using different step-sizes. In the detection process, we show how to estimate the threshold value by ACF (Auto-Correlation Function).
