본 논문에서는 시간적으로 연속된 두 구간의 평균 위상차로부터 주파수 옵셋을 추정하는 위상 차동 주파수 옵셋 추정을 이용하는 반송파 주파수 복원 루프를 위한 매우 간단하고 효율적인 성능 향상 기법을 제안한다. 본 논문에 제시된 이론적, 실험적 결과에 의하면, 주파수 옵셋 추정을 위한 관찰 구간을 직전 또는 직후 관찰 구간과 절반을 중복시키는 것만으로 정상 상태 성능과 수렴 성능을 모두 향상시킬 수 있다. 제안된 방식은 기존의 방식에 비해 추가적인 하드웨어 복잡도 증가 없이 향상된 성능을 얻을 수 있다.
