Abstract
All kind of interfaces which should be considered for COMS are represented in communication payload point of view. From system interface aspect first of all the mass & power budget, pointing error budget are to be analyzed as the top requirement. Mechanical layout design is the most important and has the top priority in mechanical interface. This process has a close relation with thermal design of spacecraft. Electrically TM/TC type, pin assignment of each connector etc should be defined in electrical interface control document(EICD) and then the circuit diagram, information for fuse sizing of all interface equipment have to be characterized. EMI/EMC/ESD information of communication equipment is essential for spacecraft power subsystem. There are some interface items needed to be considered in AIT point of view which affect spacecraft design such as antenna reflector deploy mechanism, MGSE, position of test coupler, utilization of flexible waveguide, thermal vacuum test configuration and EGSE coupling. Finally the contamination and safety analysis should be considered from PA point of view. © 2007 by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc. All rights reserved.
