Abstract
With satellite VoIP, we are allowed to use the Internet as a telephone no matter where we are. Satellite communications involve trillions of Gigabytes of data, and organizing these data streams has always been a challenge. For satellite VoIP system, QoS is required much more precision to prevent delays, packet loss, noise, etc in transmission that may disrupt VoIP speech signals. Thus, we are located quickly sorting out the technology necessary for clear satellite VoIP interlocutory service with cable and xDSL Internet providers. Speech packets through the VoIP system during the conversation are responsible for digitizing, encoding, decoding, and playing out the signals with adaptive algorithms for the high quality guaranteed service. An important factor for VoIP-QoS control technique involves the rate control, which is based largely only on network impairments due to the network congestions. The second important point is based on the factor that different parts of speech have different perceptual importance and each part of speech does not contribute equally to the overall voice quality. Our research is focused on removal noise for providing clear VoIP communication with any VoIP system environments such as satellite VoIP, Internet telephone, mobile VoIP, etc. And also, the proposed noise reduction techniques are used to a wide range of applications such as communication, automatic speech recognition, and sound source localization systems. In this paper, we propose the methods of noise reduction on interlocutory signal to provide high quality service in any environmental noises. For noise reduction, we propose a Wiener Filter optimized to the estimated SNR of noisy speech for speech enhancement. Various noisy conditions including White Gaussian, office, and babble noises are considered. Then, the proposed algorithm and method with analysis of noise with interlocutory signal is clearly proved with better performance results than others methods, IS-127 EVRC and ETSI. The development of the proposed effective noise reduction algorithms with interlocutory signal will make satellite Internet service even more competitive. © 2007 by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc.
