- Abstract
- In interactive satellite communications with Ka band, the rain fading causes eventual data losses and serious disconnection while signal transmission, which can lead out of service. Therefore, it is necessary that the satellite communication using Ka band require management of the rain fading. According to the level change of rain fading event, our procedure controls the system to obtain minimum link margin for Ka-band interactive satellite communication system and maintain the 99.7% link availability. © 2007 by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc.
