초록
ETRI has been developing the Ka band Antenna system for COMS(Communications, Ocean, and Meteorological Satellite) which will be launched at the end of 2008. The Ka band antenna system consists of two single offset reflectors and feed assemblies. This paper describes the results of Ka band antenna design, analysis, environmental test, and antenna range test. The measured performance parameters, such as gain, side-lobe, cross-polarization discrimination, and cross-polarization isolation, etc. are shown. Also, the mechanical/thermal designs are verified through a series of environment tests. The technologies and heritages obtained from this development will be applied to the development of payload system for Korean communication satellite in the near future. © 2007 by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc.
