Abstract
The two kind of local oscillators(UPLO and DNLO) for COMS communications payload have been developed. The oscillation frequencies of DNLO and UPLO are 26.4 GHz and 16.6 GHz, respectively. DNLO and UPLO adopt the same structure that is composed of phase locked oscillator and multiplier for the simplicity in designing and fabricating. DNLO consists of 8.8 GHz PLO and frequency multiplication part(FMP) that is tripling the fundamental frequency. UPLO consists of 8.3 GHz PLO and FMP that is doubling the fundamental frequency. Fabricated UPLO and DNLO complied with all performance requirements for space use. The developed DNLO and UPLO have passed the QM level environmental test. Developed DNLO and UPLO will be installed in COMS communications payload. © 2007 by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc. All rights reserved.
