Abstract
The fabrication of three-dimensional (3D) nanoporous Pt film was investigated via electrochemical deposition in the reverse micelle (L 2) solution of a nonionic surfactant. Mixture of Triton X-100 (50 wt %), 0.3 M NaCl aqueous solution, and hexachloroplatinic acid was used for electroplating nanoparticulate Pt film. Pt was electrochemically deposited on a Au substrate electrode by applying -0.2 V vs Ag/AgCl at 40°C. The surface roughness and morphology of the L2-ePt was determined by cyclic voltammogram and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) respectively. It was observed that the 3D nanoporous structure showed high roughness factor due to excessive charge passed during the electroplating. Result shows that the 3D nanoporous structure exhibit electrochemical behavior and selectively enhances the amperometric signals.
