Abstract
In this paper, we propose dynamic resource allocation algorithm for mobile IPTV services in MBS (Multicast Broadcast Service) zone [1]. This algorithm utilizes dynamic resource allocation to decrease the blocking probability of multicast connections within the limited capacity of system. Based on this algorithm, we derive the multicast blocking probability as unicast traffic load and multicast traffic load increase. In order to evaluate the performance, we compare proposed algorithm against best effort and fixed bound resource allocation schemes. Numerical results show that the proposed scheme improves multicast blocking probability.
