- Abstract
- The processing in a broadband wireless access device is constrained by hard real-time deadlines. The Media Access Control processing needs to be acted within microseconds of an event or at precise intervals for the broadband wireless control protocol. We observe the processing burden of network access traffic types. This work examines some of the important elements in processing architecture in both software and hardware, and speculates on the small size of mobile terminal.
