- Abstract
- We demonstrated a spot size converter integrated electroabsorption modulator associated with dual waveguide structure, which showed the optical insertion loss of- 8 dB, the extinction ratio of 14 dB. The electrical Sn was smaller than - 12 dB and S21 was larger than - 2.6 dB up to the 60 GHz. The alignment tolerance with the additional 3 dB loss was 짹2.95 um for horizontal and 짹2.75 um for vertical directions.
