Abstract
In the RFID system, the read range is one of the most significant characteristics of passive RFID tag antennas. For accurate measuring the read range of passive tags, low isolation performance between a transmitter and receiver including the RFID reader is a critical problem because the radiated signal from the transmitting antenna operates as interference the received signal where transmitter and receiver use the identical frequency. This paper proposes an isolation antenna to have high isolation performance between the transmitting and receiving antenna. And, a simple technique to measure RFID tag range using proposed isolation antenna is presented. © 2007 EuMA.
