Abstract
Characteristics of TE plane-wave scattering from large number of grooves in a conducting plane are approximately obtained with Green's functions and Floquet modes. Scattering equations based on the multiple and infinite rectangular grooves are also proposed in terms of the overlapping T-block method. Multiple rectangular grooves are divided into several overlapping T-blocks and one source block. Utilizing the Floquet's theorem, the solutions of multiple rectangular grooves are extended to those of infinite rectangular grooves. Combining the analyses of multiple and infinite rectangular grooves gives approximate and numerically efficient scattering equations. © 2007 IEEE.
