Abstract
CG and Live-video composition is frequently used in the movie and TV advertisement. For high quality of composition product, we need exact camera tracking data, it includes camera intrinsic parameters, extrinsic parameters. Self calibration is a recently developed method to extract camera parameters only from image sequence. Pollefeys[1] and Hartley[2] completed theoretical fundamental for SFM (Structure from motion) and our algorithm is based on their research. We implemented self calibration algorithm using Dual Absolute Quadric (DAQ) and estimated 3D position of each feature points. Using this information, we composited digital character with live video, and the result was good.
