Abstract
Most wireless sensor network applications employ single radio for sending and receiving over distinguished frequency channel. When sensor nodes are densely deployed, single radio, especially in sink nodes, may be inadequate due to the higher demand for the limited bandwidth. To improve this problem, we employ multiple radios to sink nodes. In addition, we designed gateway to be integrated with a sink node to enhance transmission performance for multiple radios. The processor unit of gateway is connected to RF transceivers through arbiter for multiple devices. We integrated functions of sink node into gateway.
