Abstract
Interference problem may exist between neighboring countries. In this paper, we analyzed the effects of interference for the coexistence of WiMAX services using the 2.6GHz frequency band between Korea and Japan. We focused on an interference scenario of a base station to base station, and we used the Minimum Coupling Loss (MCL) method for an interference analysis, and the Advanced Propagation Model (APM) for calculating the propagation loss occurring in ducts. We also compared the propagation model with our experimental measurement data. Our study can be applied to the deployment planning for each system with an interference impact acceptable to both parties. ©2014 International Information Institute.
