Abstract
Enabled by the concept of smart work, the continuous evolution of ICT is heralding an all-new lifestyle called 'smart life'. Smart work, which is a flexible technology-aided work arrangement, can be divided into three main types: telecommuting, mobile offices, and smart work centers. Of these, the mobile office is considered the single-most important driver in the diffusion of smart work. This study empirically investigates the influencing factors for the adoption of mobile office services among sales workers. The results of this research show that all four system quality dimensions of mobile office services, including a USDD, mobile network, and collaboration systems, have a statistically significant positive influence on perceived value; in other words, they favorably influence adoption intention. 'Trust in security' and 'efficiency of UDSS' proved to have particularly strong influences on the perceived value of mobile office services. The results of this study also indicated that the individual level of 'innovation resistance' and 'perceived risk' of potential adopters affect perceived risk, thereby, reducing the level of perceived value and adoption intention of mobile office services.
