본 논문에서는 H.264 움직임보상용 SIMD interpolation 알고리듬을 제안한다. 이 알고리듬은 6-tap FIR filter와 2-tap 평균치 filter의 계산을 위한 데이터의 이동에 중점을 둔다. 이 알고리듬에 사용된 데이터 이동 방법은 2가지이다. 하나는 PUA DM(data memory of PU array)와 PU(processing unit) 사이에서의 데이터 load, store에 관한 것이고, 다른 하나는 인접한 PU간의 데이터 이동에 관한 것이다. 제안된 알고리듬에서는 100㎒ 동작 주파수에서 D1급 휘도 30프레임을 처리하기 위해 4x4 interpolation 알고리듬의 경우 0.1초, 16x16 interpolation 알고리듬의 경우 0.05초가 필요하다.
