Abstract
Dy3+ doped Ge-As-S glasses have been investigated for 2.96 μm fiber laser pumped at 1.7 μm. Ge10As25S65 and Ge9As23S68 were determined as core and clad compostion, respectively for fiber drawing. Ge10As 25S65 fiber showed ??2 dB/m loss at 1.7 μm.
