Abstract
Many researchers have studied methods to reduce the response and saturation times in gas sensors. In particular, it is very important to reduce the power consumption of a wireless sensor network (WSN) used under limited power constraints. We monitored the response curve of a sensor after switching on a device, and determined that the sensor has two saturation regions. The response curves were examined for various switch-off times and CO2 gas concentrations. Herein, we present a method for shortening the warm-up time for limited power applications by monitoring the first saturation region of the sensor response.
