Abstract
FMC (Fixed Mobile Convergence) 네트워크는 유선 및 무선 네트워크를 통합하여 사용자에게 접속 네트워크의 종류에 상관없이 일관되고 끈김 없는 서비스를 제공하기 위한 기술이다. FMC 네트워크를 구성하는 Wi-Fi, WLAN, 2G/3G와 같은 무선 네트워크 기술은 사용자에게 Global Mobility와 Seamless IP 서비스를 지원하는 핵심 기술이다. 그러나 각각의 무선 네트워크 기술에서는 서로 다른 사용자 인증 및 보안 기술이 존재한다. 이를 위해 3GPP에서는 3G 이동 네트워크 망과 WLAN 망의 연동 환경에서 Vertical 핸드오버 인증을 위한 USIM 기반의 EAP-AKA 연동 인증 메커니즘을 제안하고 있다. 그러나 기존의 EAP-AKA 방식에서는 핸드오버 인증 지연, MITM 공격, 부인 방지 측면에서 취약성이 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 FMC의 3G-WLAN 무선 네트워크 연동 환경에서 기존 EAP-AKA 메커니즘의 취약성을 개선하는 USIM 기반의 네트워크 접속 인증 연동 기술에 대해 살펴보고, 향후 FMC 네트워크를 위한 무선 네트워크 환경에서의 보안 기술 방향에 대해서 알아본다.
