In this paper, we've represented the architecture of Vehicle-IT platform, and design the concept of reusable software common components for safety/convenience/convergence service in Vehicle IT domain. For the convenience of the users using this platform, we've supported the software component repository to manage common components and IDE (Integrate Development Environment) to make easy programming. In this platform, Vehicle-IT software developers can develop their application software easily and quickly using the common components which we've already built. Furthermore, with the using of this platform, it support virtual test environment to test their products without connecting the real vehicle. In this platform, we've supported reusable, verified software components in the first phase of their development process. It helps the small Vehicle-IT company to develop their products (like navigation system or black box system). It also reduces the costs of development time and test time. As a good application based on this platform, we developed new service and business models related to the recent car insurance service, and presented scenarios to provide insurance services quickly and efficiently.
