Abstract
In this paper, we study on the change of the Fuel efficiency based on the driving pattern (e.g., quick start, quick acceleration and quick deceleration). We use various vehicle information (e.g., vehicle mileage, vehicle sensor data) to analyze driving pattern and estimate fuel efficiency. We utilize the LPG vehicle to collect vehicle information through CAN (Controller Area Network) that is an inner vehicle network protocol. After analyzing the driving pattern of an actual driver and estimating fuel efficiency in real time, we compare and analyze change of the fuel efficiency based on the driving pattern. As a result of this study, we verify that the driving pattern affect fuel efficiency. The more the number of quick start and the number of quick acceleration increased, the more fuel efficiency was bad. However, the number of quick deceleration less affected the fuel efficiency than the number of quick start and the number of quick acceleration.
