Abstract
This Paper presents Low Noise Amplifier (LNA) and TRX Switch chain for WiMedia Ultra Wide Bandwidth (UWB) System. The Federal Communication Committee (FCC) authorized the commercial use of the UWB technology in February 2002[1]. Where, the spectrum mask range in an indoor environment is from 3.1GHz to 10.6GHz. But Mode 1 operating frequency of WiMedia UWB is 3 to 5GHz. This proposed LNA and Switch chain can provide more than 13.4dB power gain and less than 3.4dB Noise Figure (NF) for 3.1 to 5GHz frequency band. It consumes less than 13mA and fabricated in CMOS 0.13um technology.
