초록
This paper proposes a dynamic service overlay network architecture for multimedia transport based on next-generation networks (NGN) technologies. The proposed architecture aims to provide multimedia content delivery services customized for service providers by using shared resource elements stored in a resource pool called NetStore while satisfying quality of service (QoS) constraints. For this, we provide the functional architecture and relevant operations for the dynamic service overlay networks and present the harmonized architecture with existing NGN. It realizes the dynamic and automatic setup and release of multimedia sessions across overlay transport and NGN transport networks. ©2012 International Information Institute.
