Abstract
Nowadays, the most of the people are dependable to network world. However, a sudden network service failure caused by the abnormal traffic happens very often. It is a serious threat in the ubiquitous network environment especially ATN which required the safest network. In this paper, the proposed mechanism collects 5-tuple information of the network packet flows in a real time and immediately detects and response the abnormal IPv4/IPv6 traffic in ATN. Our proposed mechanism collects the real time traffic information every 8 seconds in ATN. It analyzes collected traffic information into DoS, DDoS, and Worm using the characteristic of the traffic and classifies the threat level into 3 steps according to the traffic volume. By the results of real time traffic analyzed, the traffic control policy being automatically created to the PIB and being applied the target network can be safely protected from the abnormal IPv4/IPv6 traffic.
