- Abstract
- To support mobile Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) service, WiBro provides multicast and broadcast service (MBS). Because mobile IPTV service is sensitive to time delay like real time video streaming, the MBS zone can be configured in the frame structure of IEEE 802.16e. In this paper, we assume that simulation plane consist of a macro cell which has several MBS regions to enhance MBS performance. The performance is varied to ratio unicast and MBS zone. We evaluate the performance of handover in unicast and MBS regions respectively. We also evaluate throughput enhancement in MBS zone when transparent relay stations are deployed.
