Abstract
Needs of automatic transport path control such like ASON of optic transport are increasing in the packet transport area according to the population of PBB-TE and MPLS-TP. This paper introduces GMPLS-based multi-layer integrated path control mechanisms that provides combined path control and network traffic engineering using resource relationship management between layers and characteristics of each layer in the packetoptical integrated network. This technology can be expected to provide rapid service provisioning, efficient traffic engineering and saving of expensive transport resources.
