Abstract
A UWB receiver with carrier that has 400MHz cut-off frequency, 73dB dynamic range and -70dBm input sensitivity was generated in 0.13um CMOS technology for applying to the both IR and MB-OFDM UWB transceiver. LNA and VGA have the broad gain variation (27dB and 51dB respectively) using 2bit and 6bit switch control. The 7th order gm-C chebyshev LPF utilizes the modified Nauta OTA and gyrator to extend the 3dB bandwidth to 400MHz. Frequency synthesizer that cover both IR and MB-OFDM UWB is proposed. According to the controllable division ratio and reference frequency, the wanted channel can be selected.
